Translation Services & Scope
What languages do you translate?
I offer professional translation services in English ⇄ Spanish. I’m a native speaker of both languages and provide accurate translations according to your needs.
What types of documents do you translate?
I specialize in three categories:
General: Personal letters, blogs, social media posts, informal documents
Business: Internal communications, company policies, HR documents, presentations
Medical: After Visit Summaries (AVS), consent forms, medical records, patient information, etc.
This is not an exhaustive list. These are just some of the types of translations provided. If you don’t see the type of translation you need listed, feel free to ask.
Do you offer localization?
Yes. I’m natively fluent in Mexican Spanish but can adapt translations for other regional varieties of Spanish upon request, depending on your target audience.
What is localization?
Localization goes beyond translation — it means adapting the content for a specific culture, region, or audience. This includes tone, terminology, and formatting to make the material feel natural to native readers in the target locale. Another way to think of it is like this: “Who is your audience and Where is your audience located?”
Pricing & Projects
How do you price your services?
I charge per page (based on 250 words) and pricing varies by category starting at:
General: $50/page
Business: $85/page
Medical: $100/page
For a full extensive pricing detail, please consult the Pricing section.
What is considered one full page?
A full page is defined as a document containing 250 to 350 words of translatable text. This industry-standard range allows for fair and consistent pricing across different projects and file types. Documents that fall within this word count are billed at the standard per-page rate based on the category and tier.
What if I only have one page with less than 250 words?
Even if a single document contains fewer than 250 words, it will still be billed as one full page. This flat-rate approach accounts for the time, formatting, file handling, and quality assurance that go into processing each individual file, regardless of word count. If you’re unsure how your file will be assessed, feel free to request a quote for clarification.
Do you offer discounts for larger projects?
Yes. I offer tiered discounts for bulk projects:
5–9 pages: 5% off
10–19 pages: 10% off
20+ pages: 15–20% off
Projects over 50 pages or with multiple documents may receive a custom quote with further discounts depending on scope and timeline.
What if I have a specific budget for a large project?
If you have a set budget, I’ll evaluate your documents and goals to create a custom plan that maximizes value while staying within your limits. Pricing will reflect workload, category, and complexity.
What are rush fees?
A 25% rush fee applies to urgent requests with a turnaround time under 48 hours. This ensures priority attention and on-time delivery.
Turnaround Time & Revisions
What’s your standard turnaround time?
It depends on volume and document type. General guideline:
1–5 pages: 1–2 business days
6–15 pages: 3–5 business days
16+ pages: Custom estimate
Rush options are available.
Feel free to reach out if you have a specific needed timeframe.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. Each translation includes one free revision within 14 days of delivery to correct or adjust minor issues. Additional revisions can be quoted based on time required.
Work Structure & Payment
What formats do you accept?
I accept Word documents (.docx), PDFs, plain text (.txt), and high-quality images (for scanned documents). If you’re unsure, just ask.
How do I pay you?
Payments are accepted through PayPal and Stripe. You’ll receive a digital invoice with payment instructions.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of translation services, all sales are final once the project begins. However, I do provide a revision window and will work with you to resolve any reasonable concerns.
Do you offer recurring or contract-based work?
Yes. I welcome ongoing collaborations and contract-based work. If you or your organization has recurring translation needs, we can create a schedule and plan that works for you.
Confidentiality & Legal Protections
Is my document or project confidential?
Absolutely. All content submitted is treated as strictly confidential and will never be shared. Clients submitting medical documents must remove personal identifiers (names, ID numbers, etc.) before submitting.
Am I responsible for reviewing the final translation?
Yes. While I take great care to ensure accuracy, you are responsible for the final review and usage of the translation. This is especially important in legal, business, and medical contexts.
Will I receive a contract or NDA?
Yes. For large projects or sensitive material, I can provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect both parties. You’re also welcome to send your own if preferred.
